Residential Duct Cleaning questions
How much does residential duct cleaning cost?
A house with one furnace is $399 to $499 depending on its size (under 2,000 sq ft up to 4,000 sq ft; larger homes are quoted by phone), and a second furnace adds $200. Add-on services such as dryer vent or humidifier cleaning are $90 each, and every third add-on is free. Clients we have cleaned for before save 5% on the cleaning.
How long does it take?
For a standard single-family home, duct cleaning takes about 1.5 hours, depending on the number of vents, the size of the duct system, and the level of buildup.
How often should a house have its ducts cleaned?
Most experts recommend every 3–5 years, depending on factors like pets, allergies, or recent renovations.
What should I do before the technicians arrive?
Make sure every supply vent can be reached by moving furniture, rugs or anything else in the way, keep the furnace room clear, and contain pets during the cleaning. Buying a new furnace filter to put in afterwards is also a good idea.
Do you clean the furnace as well?
Yes. We vacuum the J-channel and furnace base and pressure-clean the blower fan as part of the service, then sanitize with natural Benefect®.
